When should I refer for secondary assessment and possible liver biopsy?
In the absence of clear guidance, we recommend:
•Laboratory results > 2 ULN (unexplained by laboratory tests)
•Or following disease-specific protocols if laboratory results show an underlying cause, to stage disease where applicable.
